Welcome! HPCC Systems
HPCC Systems from LexisNexis Risk Solutions works with clients in various industries to manage different types of risk by helping them derive insight from massive data sets. To do this, we have developed our High Performance Computing Cluster (HPCC) technology, making it possible to process and analyze complex, massive data sets in a matter of seconds.
First time here? Please click on Sign In at the upper right and create a new User Account. Return here by going to the Course Catalog at the top of the page and select HPCC Systems from the drop down menu.
Before You Start Before starting your ECL course you will need to have installed:
1. An HPCC Systems Environment
This may be:
An HPCC Systems Cloud Services cluster (to get started: Click Here)
Your own local containerized cluster (documentation and more info here: Click Here)
A local containerized Helm/Kubernetes cluster is the easiest, fastest and recommended way to get started. There is a video in the Introduction to ECL (Part 1) course that shows you how to do this.
Our HPCC VM environment running on your laptop or PC (download our most recent VM version here: Click Here). This is the last version release of this VM.
2. An IDE
The courses use the ECL IDE to access the environment (available here: Click Here)
Alternatively, you can also use Visual Studio Code IDE with the ECL extension. There is a video in the Introduction to ECL (Part 1) course that shows you how to do this.
3. Training Data Files
Each course has specific data required for the Lab Exercises.
Introduction to ECL Part 1 and Introduction to ECL Part 2 (available here: Click Here)
4. SALT Training Courses
A copy of SALT-ECL is needed to perform the exercises during the training. SALT is not open source and is an internal product of Lexis Nexis.
Please do not contact the LN Customer Education team for ECL and HPCC Systems related questions.
Alternatively, you can contact the HPCC Systems training team directly at training@hpccsystems.com
